Our CACM paper on the Sequence Memoizer has been published. It gives a high-level description of the SM model aimed at a wider audience.

I have finally gotten around to releasing the my sequence memoizer code.
About Me
I am currently a PhD student at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit working with Yee Whye Teh on hierarchical nonparametric Bayesian models for NLP.
I have a MSc Intelligent Systems from UCL (thesis work on using dependent Dirichlet Process models for spike sorting supervised by Frank Wood) and a BSc Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrück where I worked with Stefan Evert.
My primary research area is statistical machine learning, its theory and its applications. I am particularly interested in developing new models and inference algorithms within the (nonparametric) Bayesian framework and applying these to problems in the field of natural language processing.
