I'm leaving Thursday evening (March 1st) for Cape Town, South Africa.  I thought 
now would be pretty good time to write although yesterday or before would have been 
better.  Since my mother didn't even know my itinerary until last week I probably 
haven't told it to you either.  Here it is (roughly):

    If you'd like to see me before I go, stop by Polly's Cafe near U&13th tomorrow 
night (Fat Tuesday!).  I'll be there between 7 and 9pm.  I will be wearing some of the 
beads I earned by prancing down Bourbon street in New Orleans this past Friday night.  
Be prepared!

    Finally, I'd like to keep in touch while I'm away and because I'm really bad at 
keeping my address book up to date (let alone actually keeping in touch) it's really 
likely that many of our mutual friends have been left off an email list I'm putting 
together.  Please feel free to forward this note to them in case I did leave them off 
and indicate that all they need to do to receive email from me about my trip is to 
send an email to the address above saying just that.
