Workshop on hierarchical distributed representations

11th - 13th July 2011

Supported by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation

The workshop focus on inference and learning of hierarchical and/or distributed representations. Examples include deep layered networks, latent variable graphical models, hierarchical clustering and other related techniques. We will explore the computational and statistical properties of these methods, the long term prospects of such research programmes, as well as links to aspects of neural processing.
