About me

I will start a laboratory at HHMI Janelia in Fall, 2017!

I am now still at UCL, a postdoctoral researcher with Kenneth Harris and Matteo Carandini. I specialize in large-scale neural recordings, and have built [Kilosort] and [Suite2p], state-of-the-art processing pipelines for spike sorting and Calcium imaging. I do my own experiments and have figured out a way to record ~10,000 cells with standard two-photon microscopy, which I use to study the structure and function of the neural manifold of responses in the primary visual cortex of mice.

For an updated list of publications please see my [CV] or my [google scholar]. At Gatsby, I have worked with Maneesh Sahani on probabilistic models of sequential data (video, text and spike trains) based on recurrent neural networks. I had previously completed a mathematics undergraduate degree at Princeton University.
